Job Description
Kotlin Developer will be part of a fast growing team of developers to support a range of front end and back end projects for a medium Australian client. You will be working with a small team of senior developers and QA initially to build velocity and support as a foundation team. We work within an Agile SCRUM methodology.
Domain: Real estate and property management
Team size: > 15 (AU and India)
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Spring Boot and Kotlin.
- Build and manage microservices architecture for scalability and resilience.
- Work with PostgreSQL for database design, queries, and optimization.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain services on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Frontend, DevOps, QA) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Ensure code quality, security, and performance through best practices.
Must have skills and experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Kotlin.
- Proven experience in microservices development and RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL (schemas, queries, tuning).
- Experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile teams.
- Ability to communicate well in English with foreign clients
Prefer if candidate has the following:
– Experience working with foreign companies, in particular Australia
– Experience working in a fast paced agile team
– Is available to travel to Australia where required
