Work Location
● Onsite: Cau Giay, Hanoi, Vietnam

Responsibilities
● Own the technical architecture, design, and quality of scalable, secure, high-performance full-stack systems, ensuring they meet product and business requirements.
● Lead technical design and architecture reviews, setting technical direction and selecting the technologies, frameworks, and implementation approaches the team will use.
● Mentor, coach, and grow a team of engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and hands-on pairing, raising the overall engineering bar.
● Drive diagnosis and resolution of complex system issues across application, infrastructure, network, and service layers, and put in place practices that prevent recurrence.
● Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and key stakeholders to shape technical strategy, translate business requirements into robust and maintainable solutions, and inform product roadmap decisions.
● Stay hands-on — remain an active contributor who ships production code alongside the team, not only architecture and oversight.
● Establish and enforce engineering best practices: code quality standards, CI/CD processes, technical documentation, and system reliability.
● Take full ownership and accountability for the team’s technical deliverables, operating effectively in a fast-paced, high-impact startup environment.

Qualifications
Technical Skills
● 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including experience leading technical design or mentoring engineers in a senior/lead capacity. Experience with AI products is a strong advantage.
● Proven ability to both architect systems and ship production code — this role requires hands-on coding, not just design and oversight.
● Strong hands-on experience across the full stack, with deep expertise in:
○ Frontend: Modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js)
○ Backend: Python/TypeScript (experience with Go or Rust is a strong plus)
● Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, and designing data architecture for scalable systems.
● Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, environment configuration, and system observability/monitoring.
● Demonstrated experience mentoring or leading engineers, conducting code/design reviews, and driving technical decision-making within a team.
● Strong communication skills in Vietnamese and English, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; Japanese proficiency is an advantage.
